Svistas Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Svistas, by Sensatronix LLC, handles user data for the Svistas website, mobile application, and related services.

1. Data We Collect and Store
Svistas strives to collect only the minimum amount of personal data necessary to provide and protect the service. Depending on how you use Svistas, this may include:
- Account information, such as your name or display name, email address, phone number, user ID, sign-in method, verification status, account settings, role, profile type, and communication preferences.
- Content you choose to create or share, such as profiles, listings, posts, messages, photos, videos, recommendations, ratings, reviews, event registrations, community participation, channel content, and related information.
- Contact information only when you choose to invite someone, connect with a contact, or provide contact details for a listing, event, community, or channel.
- Transaction metadata needed for payments, payouts, receipts, refunds, disputes, accounting, auditing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Device, usage, diagnostic, log, and security information, such as app version, browser type, IP-derived request metadata, error logs, session activity, and anti-abuse signals.
- Communication preferences and records of service-related communications.
Payment and Payout Methods: Svistas does not directly store or process credit card numbers or bank account numbers. Payment and payout details are processed by Stripe and, where applicable, other third-party payment providers, subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
We retain payment transaction metadata for accounting, auditing, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Such data may be stored for an extended period as required by law or legitimate operational needs.
Location Information: Location information is used transiently. When you allow the app or browser to provide device location, Svistas uses that location information only as needed to perform the feature you requested, such as local discovery, maps, nearby listings, impressions, proximity checks, events, and other location-based features.
Svistas does not store your device location as user location history.
Impressions: Impressions are designed to be privacy-preserving and untraceable back to the user who left them. Svistas uses ephemeral keys and hashing so that Impressions are not stored with a user account, profile, session, or device location history. Svistas does not display the user’s identity and does not store Impressions in a way that is intended to identify, associate, or trace them back to a specific user.
2. How We Use Data
Svistas uses user data to:
- Create, authenticate, verify, and manage user accounts.
- Provide user profiles, listings, communities, events, channels, service requests, messaging, recommendations, reviews, maps, local discovery, and related product features.
- Process service transactions, payouts, receipts, refunds, disputes, accounting, and compliance obligations.
- Send service-related communications, including verification codes, transaction confirmations, administrative notices, security notices, and system messages.
- Protect the platform from fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, policy violations, and security incidents.
- Maintain, debug, analyze, and improve Svistas features and service reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
3. Location, Contacts, Camera, Activity, and Media Permissions
When you allow location access, Svistas uses your location only as needed for the feature you requested, such as local discovery, maps, nearby listings, impressions, proximity checks, communities, or events. Svistas does not store your device location as user location history.
When you allow activity recognition or step access, Svistas may use step-related information for Vibe Explorer, an optional step-based discovery feature that lets users track step progress, set goals, earn badges, and discover nearby places or activities. Vibe Explorer is not intended for medical use, diagnosis, treatment, or professional health advice.
Contacts may be used only when you choose to invite someone or connect with a contact.
Camera, photos, and media may be used only when you choose to upload profile pictures, listing media, posts, showcases, banners, or similar content.
You can control app permissions through your device settings.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
Svistas does not sell personal data.
We may share data only as needed for the following purposes:
- With service providers that help operate Svistas, such as cloud hosting, storage, analytics, maps, communications, authentication, payment processing, and security providers.
- With other users when you intentionally publish content, send messages, join communities or events, create listings, accept connections, leave recommendations, or otherwise use features designed to share information.
- With payment and payout providers as needed to process transactions, payouts, fraud checks, disputes, refunds, accounting, and compliance requirements.
- With legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities when legally required to do so, or when needed to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Svistas, Sensatronix, or the public.
- In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice where required.
Svistas does not use location or activity recognition data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
5. Security
Svistas uses modern cloud infrastructure, access controls, encryption in transit, authentication, logging, and operational safeguards designed to protect personal data.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we identify a data or security incident affecting users, we will take appropriate steps to investigate, mitigate, and notify affected users where required.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Svistas retains user data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, support accounting and auditing, and enforce our terms.
You can request account deletion from within Svistas. On the website, sign in and navigate to Account > Account Management. In the mobile app, go to Profile > Account Settings > Delete Account.
Some records, such as requests, payments, payouts, message logs, audit records, and security records, may be retained for legal, operational, fraud prevention, accounting, or compliance reasons before permanent deletion.
If your account cannot be automatically deleted because of related activity, contact customer support at info@svistas.com.
7. Children and Eligibility
Svistas is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. Users under 13 may not create an account or use Svistas.
Users who are 13 or older but under the age of legal majority in their location may use Svistas only if permitted by applicable law and, where required, with the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Svistas is a platform where independent users, service providers, business owners, community organizers, event organizers, and channel owners may publish their own content, services, listings, events, communities, or channels. They are responsible for ensuring that their content and services comply with applicable laws, including any age, licensing, or audience restrictions.
8. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date. Continued use of Svistas after an update means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
